Programme for 2017-2018

Since its foundation in 1835 the Royal Institution of South Wales has been dedicated to the ‘cultivation and advancement’ of knowledge. Each year it arranges talks, open to members and the public alike, with this aim in mind.

This year's programme is as varied as ever. ‘Swansea and the world’ is our scope. Our themes cover history, art, society, science and technology, in the past, present and future. Our speakers are always expert and often well-known. The discussions are lively and thought provoking. To see some of the highlights from last year's programme, click the Event Archive tab below.

Click each event for more information. We hold all our events in Swansea Museum unless noted otherwise. If you have a question, please contact our events organiser at events@risw.org
